As Installation / Service Technician, you will:
Perform all functions of live tap installation:
Line stopping taps
Perform all functions of meter & fire hydrant service and repair
Perform all functions of fusion welding
Prompt and reliable attendance.
Ability to interact professionally and courteously with city residents, city officials and on site customers.
Develop positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors and company management.
Additional duties as required.
A successful Installation Technician will possess the following:
Must have great mechanical skills and willingness to learn new things.
Ability to move freely about the facility and jobsite, climb stairs, climb in and out of prepared trenches, stoop, bend, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods of time up to and exceeding eight hours per day.
Ability to verbally communicate with management, city officials, on site customers and other employees.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid drivers license.
Excellent customer service skills a must.
Excellent time management, organizational skills, leadership, and match skills.
Proficient with standard office equipment and equipment that is industry specific.
Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines. Shall demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
Ability to lift at least 50lbs on a regular basis and 150lbs occasionally.
Must have the ability to obtain a US Passport.
Most work will be performed in the greater Seattle area. However, overnight travel may occasionally be required.
