Shipping Administrative Assistant
Prepare commercial documents for shipments to internationalcustomers.
Work with Shipping Department and other departments toensure that commercial documents accurately reflect the physical shipment withregard to country or origin, NAFTA (or other Free Trade agreement) status, andHTS classification.
Process incoming freight/custom invoices.
Process incoming wafer shipments both internal and affiliatesourced, then prepare shipping packets for outgoing.
Work with Production, Order Management, IS, QA, andAccounting to process reworks, returns, and to manage finished goods inventory.
Resolve discrepancies and where possible, determine andimplement process to prevent recurrence.
Perform Administrative tasks: copying, filing, faxing,scanning as needed.
Experience in export traffic coordination. Previous experienceworking with Customs brokers, forwarders, and international partners.
Familiarity with international documentation, HTSUS, andSchedule B helpful.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Word).Minimum of three years of experience utilizing MS Office for datatracking, reporting, and correspondence.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to quickly learn new computer software andsystems. Word processing keyboard speed of 55 WPM minimum.
Demonstrated grammar, proofreading, and writing skills inEnglish language. Familiarity with standard formatting of businesscorrespondence and reports. General math skills.
Resourceful and able to work independently.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks.
Strong telephone and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to communicate information clearly and accurately to internalstaff and external contacts.
Minimum of two years of experience performing administrativejob duties including, data entry, correspondence, and report generation.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Formal export compliance training a plus.
Experience in a process manufacturing environment a plus.
