FTI products are approved and used by virtually every airplane and helicopter manufacturer. Our company has decades of continual growth and have positioned ourselves in the marketplace for stability through the cycles of the aerospace industry. FTI is looking for a QA inspector for its manufacturing operation in Tukwila, WA.
Position Summary The QA Inspector inspects and evaluates all product characteristics as they pertain to drawing and specification requirements. These include raw materials, in-process parts, first article and final inspection documentation for shipment.
This position is for Swing Shift
Core Competencies Required for this Position • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements. • Clear communication (oral and written) skills. • Ability to keep accurate records. • Detail oriented and quick learning ability. • Ability to follow documented procedures and standards. • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
Primary Responsibilities • Visually observe dimensional and functional characteristics of the product in final form. • Perform first part on startup. Evaluate product manufacturing. • Review all certifications for incoming material received. • Perform in-process inspection of product during manufacturing. • Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments. • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Education or Experience • High School Diploma or equivalent • Some Engineering or technical training/background preferred.
Other Qualifications • Computer literate • Familiarity with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) preferred.
