The Boeing Company Mid Level Facilities Planner in Tukwila, Washington
Boeing Shared Services is seeking a mid-level facilities planner for their Renton, Washington site.
• Solicits headcount projections and business plans to enable forecasting of use and occupancy allocation, capital and expense budgets, building utilization and density for the purpose of managing real property assets and site cost allocations. • Gains consensus for the optimal solution by effectively organizing and presenting proposals to stakeholders. Communicates approved plan to implementation team. Resolves conflict situations. • Coordinates, maintains and provides information to update use and occupancy tracking system to identify cost and space allocation to the tenant. Participates in the development of the space management forecast. • Participates in business initiatives and team activities to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, service delivery and asset utilization (e.g., lean office and manufacturing, new technology development, special requests, proposal support) and gains insight into the customer's vision and organization. • Participates in regional/enterprise-wide studies and leads site facilities studies for the purpose of assisting the business decision-making process in response to Company and organization initiatives (e.g., asset utilization, production rate plans, business plans). Gathers and analyzes data regarding current conditions and future requirements. Works with both internal and external organizations to identify and assess impact to the business operating plan. • Creates short-range facilities plans (e.g., site, office, manufacturing, lab, warehouse) by identifying and developing facilities options to satisfy project objectives (e.g., cost, schedule, location, conceptual layout, process and people flow). Works with stakeholders and assesses resources (e.g., assets, space, budget, labor) to create the best value for the customer and the Company. • Develops an integrated project management plan for focused efforts using existing requirements and specifications that includes: defining goals and objectives, obtaining customer concurrence, determining resources, defining tasks and key milestones (statement of work), developing project plan, scheduling (including precedence serial and parallel task), defining budget requirements based on project plan, obtaining customer program approval, executing the project, tracking and reporting status to ensure project meets technical, budget and schedule requirements.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a United States Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15? "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD programs
Experience with Maximo or other Computerized Maintenance Software Systems
Experience in Facilities Space Planning
Experience in Facilities, Maintenance, or Construction
