The Chemist is responsible for characterization of electronic materials using analytical chemistry methods and instruments. The Chemist will provide analytical results as services for quality control in manufacturing of sputtering targets or product/process development. Analytical results may become part of the product certification. The job requires high quality and timely analyses, critical thinking, and continuous improvement.
Work in a lab environment in which you will use LECO elemental analyzers to help drive results for the business.

Develop solutions using chemistry knowledge in a team based culture working with innovative products and technologies
70 Perform gas analysis using LECO
10 Aid in development of manufacturing procedures
10 Provide technical expertise in targets testing
10 Participate in HS&E programs
YOU MUST HAVE
•Experience performing gas analysis using a LECO product.
•Ability to follow standard operating procedures to insure consistent analyses.
•Experience following safety procedures, including the use of common sense to ensure safe handling of hazardous materials.
•Able to critique existing analytical methods and procedures and develop new ones as needed.
•Can insure high quality analyses, including best possible accuracy and shortest possible turnaround times.
•Able to prepare and present data to internal customers.
•Can trouble shoot instrument failures and perform preventative.
