Amazon Corporate LLC Sr. Technical Program Manager in Seattle, Washington

DESCRIPTION Are you passionate about Amazon? Are you interested in leading new initiatives in Alexa, the brain behind Amazon Echo? In this role, you will own driving new large scale initiatives in the Alexa Excellence space. It will involve leading and collaborating with dozens of teams and systems across Alexa. It is a high energy, high visibility role that comes with exciting challenges and great reward. Your mission will be to: * Lead new programs involving multiple teams in Alexa * Drive design and architectural discussions with senior engineers and software development managers * Set and maintain a high bar and hold all teams accountable to it * Deliver planning insight by creating data-driven business metrics * Assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide critical issue management, make trade-offs, and balance the business needs across a broad portfolio of features * Manage project planning, progress, and roadmap meetings with project teams & partners BASIC QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Operations, or a related discipline or 5+ years of related work experience * 7+ years of experience running Technology projects/programs of an increasingly large and complex scale in a related industry * Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as well as evaluating tools, processes, and metrics to enable continuous improvement in ability to scale, deliver, and improve applications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * The ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels within the enterprise and to work with both technical and non-technical individuals. * A proven track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on large scale programs. * Great organizational skills and attention to detail; you are able to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously * Knowledge of the technical and UX requirements for international software deployments * Impeccable customer service with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations; a team player with a solid work ethic * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and effectively communicate technical information to internal and external customers who are both technical and non-technical * Ability to identify and resolve issues independently in a rapidly changing environment; taking initiative in ambiguous circumstances * Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project * Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs. is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative Action Employer - Minority / Female / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation Amazon is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative Action Employer – Minority / Female / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation
