Our esteemed client has an exciting and dynamic opportunity for a creative Angular Software Develope r with an entrepreneurial spirit. We are seeking a candidate to design, develop, and support unique online data collection platforms that will improve post-graduation outcomes for youth with disabilities. We are looking for an experienced and talented Developer with a passion for their work and the districts, teachers, families, and students we serve.

The Software Developer is a self-starter possessing sound judgement, strong problem solving skills, and is able to communicate effectively with a broad range of audiences. The Software Developer likes designing systems to meet business requirements and enjoys tackling complex analysis and design efforts.

Essential Job Functions:

Web Developer (40%)

  • Demonstrate technical knowledge by advocating and best practices for modern web app development

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy responsive, secure, and scalable solutions that leverage best practices and client standards

  • Contribute to the architecture for all the web applications and push for greater use of HTML / CSS / JS across all applications and services

  • Quickly jump into and solve critical production issues when required

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Microsoft SQL Server Transact SQL (T-SQL) and stored procedures

  • Estimate work, provide completion times, and demonstrate personal accountability to agreed-upon schedules and milestones

  • Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs

  • Monitor performance of applications after implementation

  • Research, learn, and implement applicable emerging technologies in support of university mission and goals

Database and Business Intelligence Management (10%)

  • Review, evaluate, design, implement, and maintain the database and business intelligence systems including: Schema (design and build)

  • Write code for database access, modifications, and construction including stored procedures and user defined functions

  • Develop, implement, and maintain appropriate monitoring to ensure high system availability and maximum performance and security for critical enterprise systems

  • Ensure adherence to client standards in all areas of database and business intelligence design, integration, and utilization

  • Identify and provide data flow diagrams, and document the processes

Application Development and Testing (50%)

  • Configure and code:

  • Screen layouts

  • Graphical user interfaces

  • Printed outputs reports

  • Interfaces with other systems

  • Estimate work, provide completion times, and demonstrate personal accountability to agreed-upon schedules and milestones

  • Oversee day-to-day development activities ensuring a quality product deliver, standards compliance, and timely completion

  • Convert designs and specifications into computer code using Angular2, Angular5 and C#

  • Contribute to the build of multiple applications, some of which are MVC applications using C# and TFS

  • Database is in T-SQL

  • Create and execute unit tests to confirm programs meets specifications

  • Analyze code to find cause of errors and revises programs

  • Install and test programs

  • Monitor performance of applications after implementation

  • Research, learn and implement applicable emerging technologies in support of university mission and goals


  • Consult with clients to gather information about program needs, objectives functions, features, and input and output requirements

  • Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs

  • Write and maintain technical specifications

  • Develop and maintain plans outlining steps and time tables for developing programs

  • Research and evaluate software and hardware to assist in programming or to use as program platforms

  • Consult with client to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs

  • Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections

  • Review documentation written by others that describes installation and operating procedures.

  • Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about programs

  • Respond rapidly to system maintenance and administration needs, including on weekends and evenings

  • Contribute feedback to defining policies, procedures, and plans in the areas of disaster recovery, enterprise administration / security

  • Work with all levels of the organization to determine needs and establish priorities

Customer Service & Training

  • Leverage knowledge of client data to enhance system design and analytic capabilities

  • Train end users or technical support staff to interact effectively with programs
