Role Summary The Maintenance & Engineering (M&E;) Quality Assurance BI Analyst I performs continuous analysis of M&Es; surveillance data to identify trends, safety/compliance concerns, and effectiveness of risk controls. This Analyst is the primary focal point for tracking, analyzing, and communicating M&E; surveillance metrics and plays a central role in M&Es; safety management system (SMS) by providing independent and objective analysis using a risk-based, value-added approach. Scope & Complexity
- This individual contributor position applies data mining, advanced statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and forecasting skills to analyze current and historical pre-cursors to make predictions about future events
Performs continuous analysis of M&E;'s surveillance data to identify trends, safety/compliance concerns, and effectiveness of risk controls.
Monitors and analyzes contract maintenance surveillance data to identify trends.
Applies data mining, advanced statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and forecasting skills to analyze current and historical pre-cursors to make predictions about future events.
Captures and analyzes information from multiple sources and databases into integrated performance reports issued to all management levels.
Serves as the primary focal point for tracking, analyzing, and communicating M&E; surveillance metrics.
Supports M&E;'s surveillance functions by creating/enhancing effective data collection tools.
Supports M&E;'s management team through risk assessments and metric performance analysis
Plays a central role in M&E;'s safety management system (SMS) by providing independent and objective analysis using a risk-based, value-added approach.
Assists in investigations and researches events and incidents within M&E.;

Performs other duties as assigned.
Job-Specific Skills & Education Required
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a data analysis role, or 1-year experience with a Bachelor Degree with a focus in mathematics or a related discipline.
Detailed knowledge and understanding of business intelligence functions, including analytics, data mining, reporting, report conversion, data cleansing, data modeling and relational databases.
Experience with relational databases, nested querying, table design, and complex joins.
Experience with applied statistics.
Data-driven mindset and a proven history of continuous self-development.
Effective communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening).
Detailed oriented and highly organized, with ability to work independently with limited guidance.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum age of 18.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Aviation, aviation safety, or airline operations experience.
Thorough understanding of SQL.
Adept knowledge of charting, pivot tables, and visualization.
