Job Description

Individual develops solutions to wide range of complex problems which require ingenuity and innovation.

Is capable of proving guidance and mentoring to other ME’s.

Improves manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.

Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.

Designs, develops and tests and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.

Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.

Designing new equipment, processes, procedures and systems.

Investigating production problems; making improvements to current operations to enhance efficiency.

Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.

Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.

Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules and estimating future requirements.

Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Provides technical support to production by answering questions and requests.

Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures and requesting special service.

Maintains process data base by writing standard work instructions.


Responsible for new product development of composite parts. The position includes coordination with customer, design and procurement organizations until the full realization of the product cycle is realized.

Capable of developing plans and strategy in support of the product development project, including plans, work instructions, methods, required tooling

Develops and implements manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. Manufacturing engineers are responsible for the technical management, maintenance and development of new and existing production lines.


Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.. Minimum of 10 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Required Experience: Minimum of 10 years

Other Technical Experience: Inventor, Pro-e, Solid Works, or other 3-Dimensional CAD system.
