Microsoft Corporation Software Development Engineer II in Redmond, Washington

We are looking for senior Software Engineers to help us build SDKs and tools enabling Data Scientists to develop, train, deploy, and manage machine learning and deep learning models for computer vision, text analytics and forecasting using Azure Machine Learning as a basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing customer-facing python SDKs and APIs, and tools data scientists enjoy using and be interested in machine learning and big data. You should have a proven track record of delivering successful software with Python, having developed both backend server-side SDKs and rock-solid libraries. You should also be able to advise and guide experienced data scientists in Python best practices and perform code reviews.
3+ years of experience as a software engineer working on industrial strength software
3+ year of experience in cloud development principles and patterns, particularly loosely coupled architectures and micro-services
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience
Fluent in Python
Deep Expertise in Python programming language and its design patterns
Expertise in .NET framework and C# or other .NET language, especially cross-platform
Development experience with Microsoft Azure, Linux stack and Docker
Experience developing and/or operating forecasting applications (financial or product demand)
Experience building data warehousing applications, ETL flows
Familiar with Agile Software Development Life Cycle, source control systems (GIT), automated build systems, compilers, software validation systems, test harnesses
Experience with Deep Learning libraries like Tensorflow
Experience in domains of computer vision, text analytics or forecasting.
