Microsoft Corporation Operations Program Manager - Web Production Manager/Accessibility Lead in Redmond, Washington

The C+E Integrated Marketing Web Experience Team is looking for an experienced website production engineer. This position will be a mix of leading our Web Accessibility initiatives across our broad web portfolio, optimizing production workflows, and helping to support and drive worldwide operations—all of which requires oversight of vendor web developers and web production engineers.

Our charter is to manage and continually optimize the worldwide Cloud + Enterprise websites to drive engagement, trials, and return visits. You will be in the middle of it all, helping to make decisions that impact our resources, timelines, and global web experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive the C+E Integrated Marketing website Accessibility initiative, which ensures all sites meet accessibility guidelines and provide a great user experience for the estimated 1.2B people worldwide who have some form of disability.

Manage international content/sites, which includes defining and optimizing the localization workflow, managing content for market sites, and working with subsidiaries on market-specific projects. You’ll also manage the localization team and relationship.

Manage and improve the web publishing queue process. This includes continuously optimizing web production and recommending third-party tools as appropriate. It also entails managing the tagging process, domain acquisition, and URL strategy. You’ll be a strong partner with site managers to help schedule hand-offs on assigned projects.

Basic Qualifications:

BS/BA degree

5+ years of experience in production of global, enterprise-scale web sites

3+ years of content production or site management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

BA/BS in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Information Management, or related discipline

5+ years project management experience, with the ability to drive work streams at the tactical level and manage multiple projects concurrently

Excellent systems analytical, problem solving, and technical skills.

Firm understanding of business-driven web publishing (strategy, content, and project management) for multiple audiences

Demonstrated ability to think strategically, execute effectively, work under deadline pressure, and manage multiple projects—in some cases, across multiple time zones and platforms

Data-driven: You persuade with facts and challenge your assumptions using surveys, A/B tests, and other tools

Have an intrinsic drive for excellence and continuous improvement

Possess strong interpersonal, planning, time management, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex situations in clear terms and work collaboratively in a diverse environment
