Microsoft Corporation Director, Product Marketing in Redmond, Washington
The Devices Marketing team is looking for an experienced leader to manage the team that runs the end-to-end marketing launch and lifecycle process for Surface devices. If you have a proven track record in marketing or product management, strong project management skills and demonstrated success as a team leader, this is a unique opportunity to lead and evolve the end-to-end launch and lifecycle processes for the expanding portfolio of Surface products.
The Surface Marketing Launch and Lifecycle Operations team plays a key role in the overall Surface business and leadership of our launch and lifecycle strategies are central to the execution of our revenue and unit growth goals. The leader in this position will work with the Surface Product Marketing Leadership Team to develop and execute our product launch and lifecycle plans; the leader and their team also work closely also with colleagues across partner teams such as program management, supply chain, operations, finance, integrated marketing communications, PR and our field communities to align objectives and execution tactics and ensure consistency and excellence in our GTM plans.
Success in this role will depend on management excellence, project management expertise, the ability to partner well across a broad and diverse group of teams, strong collaboration with stakeholders and the ability to clearly communicate the launch and lifecycle PORs to senior management and executives. It will also depend on the ability to connect a variety of factors that impact and inform our launch and GTM strategy, including product plans, business and market environment, channel dynamics, customer insights, and supply, among others.
Manage a team of FTEs with clear priorities, well-executed deliverables and strong overall workgroup health
Drive a well-coordinated, goal-driven launch and lifecycle management process that will bring the extended Surface marketing organization together
Bring ongoing innovation and excellence to the launch and lifecycle strategy and process, including incorporation of lessons learned from prior launches and feedback from stakeholders
Clearly establish the launch and lifecycle POR across Surface and related teams
Continuously improve the end-to-end launch and lifecycle process for Surface marketing and partner teams
5+ years of experience as a marketing team leader or product management team leader is required
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team and collaborate effectively across organizations and functions
Proven ability to disambiguate challenging and complex problems with cross-group dependencies and identify growth opportunities
Bachelor's degree required
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of work experience post BA/S; MBA preferred
5-10 years marketing or product management experience with hardware products is a plus
