Whidbey General Hospital Medical Assistant, Physician Practice in Oak Harbor, Washington
The Medical Assistant for the Specialty and Primary Care Clinics (SPCC) will be accountable for the delivery of quality care to patients and families of all ages according to individualized needs of the patient. Responsible for in-person screening limited to intake and gathering of information, without requiring the exercise of judgment based on clinical knowledge. Duties include taking vital signs, recording patient history, preparing and maintaining examination and treatment areas, preparing patients for, and assisting with routine and specialty examinations, procedures, treatments and minor office surgeries.
Must anticipate the needs of the provider to support efficient and quality patient care in the clinic and hospital wide. Performs all duties in a manner that supports WhidbeyHealth's Standards of Behavior, Patients First Tenets, Corporate Compliance, Mission, Vision, and Values.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two (2) years of prior Medical Assistant experience preferred. Active Washington State Medical Assistant Certification (CM) or Medical Assistant Registration (MR) required which includes completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. BLS certification required.
