EAS is seeking a Senior Solution Designer to join the team and to lead in the delivery of specific elements of our ERP capability as MSFT continues toward becoming a Devices and Services company.
The Senior Software Engineer functions primarily as a Lead Functional Analyst and is a key member of a project team that delivers new and/or enhanced capability to our internal business users. This is an Individual Contributor role.
The Microsoft implementation of SAP is a large-scale enterprise solution featuring SAP ECC, SCM, GTS, and BW from SAP AG and SQL Server, Windows .NET Server and Exchange from Microsoft Corporation. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals that are motivated to grow their careers in SAP and Microsoft technologies.
The individual hired for this position will implement SAP system solutions for Sales and Distribution & Finance business processes. As part of the this team, the individual may focus in the following areas: Convergent Charging/Convergent Invoicing(CC/CI), Financials(FI), Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM) modules of R/3 that enable Microsoft's eCommerce exchanges with customers and vendors. This individual will be responsible for supporting a broad spectrum of enterprise business processes, ranging from Online Services, OEM, Volume Licensing, Digital Distribution, Product Planning, and Services.
•Participate in the requirements gathering process, guide discussions by representing what standard functionality exists
•Review and sign-off business requirements in the form of Feature and User Stories
•Design the E2E solution, engaging with the various architecture teams, and considering established best practices
•Create functional specifications, including obtaining sign-off from the other team members
•Configure and build the SAP system solutions as per specifications
•Work with the respective Project Management, Development, Test and Support resources to ensure a complete and robust solution is delivered
•Support Domain Architects in the definition of solution and technology roadmaps
•1+ years of hands on SAP ERP Implementation experience on large scale projects for enterprise businesses
•Direct configuration experience of modeling complex rating/charging scenarios using SAP SD module.
•Strong understanding of SAP and Microsoft integration technologies
•Strong understanding of software lifecycle methodology and information systems development and support
•Strong cross group collaboration abilities
•Strong problem solving, troubleshooting skills
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Strong ability to succeed in ambiguous environment
•Sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating, and decision-making skills
•Must have ability to work in a self-directed, fast-paced, multiple initiatives environment
•Must have ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
•8 years of hands on SAP customization/configuration experience on large scale implementation projects for enterprise businesses
•Expertise in implementing Sales & Distribution, billing and invoicing solutions for high-tech, digital supply chain businesses
•In-depth understanding of telecommunications & high-tech business processes
•Experience working with geographically diverse groups
•Previous Microsoft background
•Experience with a variety of SDLC methodologies specifically: Waterfall project execution and SCRUM/agile approaches
•Enterprise IT experience, preferably with ERP packages
The ideal candidate will have experience in a dynamic team environment, experience running and designing enterprise scale services and platforms, technical depth in cloud platforms, agile development practices, and experience in designing & tuning telemetry. In addition, this position requires an individual who can demonstrate the ability to ensure highly resilient and scalable service designs through partnership with other members of the service team.
