Geneva Woods, Inc. Pharmacy Technician/Billing Specialist in Vancouver, Washington

Geneva Woods Pharmacy is currently looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician/Billing Specialist to join our Billing Department at our pharmacy located in Vancouver, WA. Successful candidates must possess a positive attitude, be a team player, and provide excellent customer service. The right candidate will be able to support pharmacological services by submitting and processing third parties claims, handle all billing functions, and provide support to insurance providers, facilities, and prescribing physicians office's.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES A CURRENT WA PHARMACY TECHNICIAN LICENSE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform prescription claims adjudications for all pharmacy insurance programs.

  • Entering patient and third party information into the system.

  • Serve as a liaison between the pharmacists and other medical professionals as appropriate.

  • Maintains records by recording and filing Prior Authorizations.

  • Generates revenues by calculating, posting, and issuing charges.

  • Prepares reports by summarizing information.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Analyze billing rejection errors and trends for continuous improvement opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 18 years old.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Organization and have great attention to detail.

  • Must be Dependable and the ability to work in a team environment.

  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.

  • Flexibility is a must and would be able to work extra hours if needed (Including evenings and weekends).

  • Ability to adhere to regulatory and company compliance, Code of Conduct and Business Ethics (OSHA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, etc.).

  • Understand, promote and comply with rules and regulations governing residents’ rights.

  • Ability to work and produce results under pressure.

  • Prior experience with third party billing, customer service, and data entry preferred.

CERTIFICATION:

  • High school diploma / GED

  • Current WA Pharmacy Technician License
