          Position Summary:
          The Internal Auditor (IA) is a professional level position working in Corporate Compliance and Internal Audit (CCIA), and with departments, Directors and Managers throughout the health system. The IA is responsible for planning and conducting internal audits and reviews as per the annual work plan, drafting reports, presenting findings and following up on implementation of recommendations. This position will also perform and support IT audits. Skills and compentencies required for all audit projects are research, writing, interviewing, benchmarking, data analysis and use of other tools and techniques to address the audit needs of the organization. The IA conducts the audits in accordance with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. The IA will oversee effectiveness of on-going quality monitors impacting compliance and assess internal controls for process improvement.

          Minimum Requirements:
          Some experience in public accounting and/or internal auditing in a healthcare setting preferred. IT audit and/or healthcare experience preferred

          Education/Licenses/Certifications:
          Bachelors degree in Healthcare or Business Administration required, with a concentration in accounting, finance or other related field highly preferred. Professional designation or progress toward designation such as CPA, CIA, CFE or CISA preferred.
