Learn more at www.multicarejobs.org POSITION SUMMARY: This individual functions as a primary clinic nurse under the direction of a physician. Assists the physician with patient care and follow-up. Provide direct and indirect patient care in a clinical area. Duties to include but are not limited to interviewing of patients, obtain vital signs, and assist them in preparing for exam or treatment. Provide instruction and teaching to patients per physician request. Schedule appointments, surgeries and special procedures. Set up and assist physician with routine and special procedures and exams. Perform physical tests per the physician s instructions. Perform minor procedures per the physician s instructions. Start, monitor, and remove IV's as assigned. Perform charting and clerical work as necessary Phone prescriptions and refills to the pharmacy. Triage phone calls and patients, identify emergent and non-emergent situations, and refer patients, as needed to the physician. Report diagnostic results to the patient as directed by the physician. Gives injections under physician's direction. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Completion of an accredited LPN program. Two years experience as an LPN in a clinic setting preferred. EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Current WA state LPN license Urgent Care Clinics: ACLS required within 6 months of hire Child Express Clinics: PALS required within 6 months of hire or POSITION SUMMARY: The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the provider with back office duties in the outpatient management of patients and completing or assisting with front office duties. This position is a vital part of the office team that cares for patients in the clinic setting working under the direction of a physician. This position works closely with the physicians, other clinical staff, and front office staff. Work situations are a variety of clinical functions within a clinic setting requiring knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data; discretion; good judgment; diplomacy; decision making; and a customer service attitude. Acting as the patient advocate the Medical Assistant has continuous contact with physicians, patients, patient families/ significant others, community agencies, and MHS patient care staff and management.
