Amazon Special Handling team is looking for a customer-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong delivery record and leadership experience to own and execute strategic, cross-functional operations and technology projects in Supply Chain and Transportation. Ideal candidate will draw upon exemplary program / project management, critical thinking, and problem solving skills, and a passion for creating reliable and maintainable systems. The candidate should be open to new challenges, strong at multi-tasking, innovative, creative, self-directed and a great team player. Candidate should drive continuous process improvement, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional business and software development teams to solve problems and implement new solutions. Responsibilities: Interact with Project Sponsors, other Technical Program Managers, and multiple development teams to define and deliver complex features. Lead the effective and efficient delivery of large complex cross-functional projects. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. Gain consensus on technical decisions and ensure that appropriate software engineering practices are employed to deliver high quality results. Maximize resources for the greater good of the organization. Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels. Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders. Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline. 5+ years of relevant work experience in Technical program and/or product management or leading software development projects with aggressive schedules. Proficient knowledge of Project/Program Management principles and processes. 5+ years experience working with cross functional technical teams and business units to design, develop, and implement new systems or solutions. Strong knowledge of Transportation, Logistics, and/or Supply Chain technical systems. Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline. Track record for managing complex technology projects with aggressive schedules and scarce resources. Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects. Experience with cross geographical project coordination and management. Excellent problem-solving skills. Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units. Experience with agile or other program management methodologies.
