Oracle's Infrastructure Cloud Data Transfer Service Team is Hiring Software Engineers

Oracle is building a from-scratch Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) Public Cloud targeting developers and IT organizations. We have engineering work at every layer of the stack, from REST APIs to distributed systems to file systems, and we are looking for teammates who are interested in being part of a team that innovates from top to bottom. We believe that the only way to succeed is to own every part of the problem, and so we are creating a team that controls its own destiny. Our team is located in the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle.

  • Implement and maintain control plane web services using RESTful APIs for both public cloud and on-premises appliance environments

  • Implement and maintain reliable, high throughput data intensive solutions that integrate with both network-based services (Internet, local, etc.) and low level operating system storage technologies (ie. filesystem APIs, storage protocols, etc.)

  • Write unit, integration, and acceptance tests so that our efforts can reliably be refactored and extended to meet new business needs in the future

  • Monitor live production systems and deployment pipelines in on-call rotations.

  • Diagnose and resolve issues in live production systems as well as heterogeneous customer environments

  • Background in building, testing, and debugging robust production services.

  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.

As part of Oracle’s employment process candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment screening process, prior to an offer being made.
