Job DescriptionAmazon is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join its Tax Information Reporting function within Financial Operations, which is responsible for Global Reporting across all Amazon businesses as well as maintaining all related documentation. This position will provide analytical support in driving simultaneous project launches in the tax information filing process across all Amazon entities, and partner with internal and external parties on special projects such as new business and new geo initiatives. The successful candidate will be a strong leader who is adept at driving change within a very dynamic business environment by identifying and implementing process improvement and automation throughout the tax reporting and filing processes, which will require a solid understanding of Amazon's businesses, systems, and processes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Assist in driving and managing projects related to tax reporting. Communication with internal and external customers about Amazon policies related to the collection of tax information. Research global tax information reporting issues. Peak season tax information filing, including reconciliation, research and analysis of exceptions related to payee tax information. Peak season communication with payees regarding Forms 1099 and 1042 received and related issues. Basic Qualifications BS/BA degree in accounting, finance, and/or related field 5+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Preferred Qualifications MS in Taxation Certification as CPA Form 1099 and Form 1042 compliance and reporting experience, preferably in the multinational organization environment Work experience in public accounting Work experience in supporting audit defense Strong computer skills utilization MS Office; Onesource; knowledge of Oracle r12 Strong accounting, analytical, and tax research skills Strong project management and organization skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Amazon is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative Action Employer – Minority / Female / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation
