Herrera is seeking a Civil/Stormwater Engineer with proven project management skills, PS&E experience, and strong client relationship building skills to join our Water Practice Area. Our company provides a diverse range of engineering and environmental services to cities, counties, state and federal agencies, and private clients throughout the Pacific Northwest as well as internationally. Qualifications: Strong candidates for this Senior Stormwater Engineer opening will have a minimum of 8 to 12 years of civil engineering and stormwater experience; a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Master’s preferred); and current registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer. This Stormwater Engineer must have demonstrated expertise leading teams in the development of final plans, specifications, and estimate (PS&E) packages for stormwater flow control and treatment facility designs specifically, including low impact development (LID) facilities. The successful candidate must also have proven project management experience handling projects from concept to completion, for public and private sector clients. The ideal candidate will have broad site development civil engineering experience including grading, paving, utilities, erosion control, and coordination with other design disciplines including architects, landscape architects, land surveyors, and geotechnical engineers. Strong team interaction, client coordination, and business development skills are highly desirable. Recent LID experience is a must. Other desirable qualifications include excellent written communication and organizational skills, commitment to staying up-to-speed with technical and regulatory developments in the dynamic field of stormwater management, and a passion for solving complex water resource problems.
