Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit within the Respiratory Care Services department has an outstanding opportunity for aTemporary/Hourly Respiratory Care Practitioner.The duties include but are not limited to:

• Initiate, maintain and monitor continuous mechanical ventilation including high frequency ventilation.




• Perform certain diagnostic and evaluative procedures, e.g., blood gas interpretation, transcutaneous CO2 monitoring.




• Respond to neonatal emergencies as a member of the Code Blue team.




• Effectively administer all forms of respiratory therapy including surfactant delivery.




• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing the affects of respiratory care procedures and alternative procedures.




• Assist in high-risk deliveries and transports.




• Perform related duties as required.

Competitive candidates will have NRP and NPS credentials.
Requirements:
Completion of a respiratory care program approved by the State of Washington Department of Health OR equivalent education/experience.

Legal Requirement:
Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the State of Washington.

Additional Requirements:
Demonstrated NICU experience.
