Junior Product Manager Requisition ID: 7181 Location: USA, Washington, Seattle Employment Duration: Regular Full time Description SUMMARY: The junior product manager has overall responsibility for the product / product lines by identifying potential products; conducting market research; defining customer's needs; generating product requirements; determining specifications, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; developing marketing strategies. The Junior Product Manager is responsible for driving and optimizing profitability of defined product / product lines across the product lifecycle: from new product development and face-lifts, product launch, management of existing portfolio to phase out. The Junior Product Manager is responsible for the complete marketing business plan, including product, accessories, supplies and services. The product represents the respective product internally and externally. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Stay up-to-date and follow all Quality System procedures related to this job, which can affect the quality of products or services provided to our customers. Develop and implement strategic market plan for xxx products as assigned Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information. Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes, summary in product road map. Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products. Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives and works with downstream team on implementation. Drives clinical content in close cooperation with clinical education / marketing teams. Obtains product market share by working with sales organization to develop product sales strategies. Assesses product market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results. Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests. Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and discussing inventory levels and production schedules with the operations team. Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing. Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, downstream, and production. Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs (COGS); anticipating volume; promotions and customized orders. Monitor and correct financial and volume product performance throughout the year. Plan product / product line per year and region in the annual budget process Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Represent "voice of the customer" to all NATUS internal functions Lead and Interface with the IPT (integrated product team) / PSB (product steering board) and other cross-functional product management teams, such as team members from R&D, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, and Clinical Affairs. This IPT / PSB will evaluate and address product development, product improvement (including design to cost) and product labeling issues.
