CCSWW HMIS Support Specialist in Seattle, Washington

The HMIS Support Specialist tracks and resolves requests and issues for CCS/CHS staff using the Clarity Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). This position works collaboratively with the database manager to ensure the integrity and successful operation of the database. Duties also include testing reported solutions, training, and performing other data support duties for the CCS/CHS program teams as needed.

User Support

  • Provide direct support of the HMIS Clarity system users across CCS/CHS program teams

  • Create and deactivate user accounts and permissions

  • Assist staff with password lockouts

  • Answer Clarity HMIS questions by system users

  • Work with database manager and vendors to swiftly resolve database issues

  • Work with database manager to create, test, and distribute reports

  • Assist users with setting up their browser to access the CCS Clarity HMIS as well as the King County HMIS

Training

  • Provide scheduled end-user training to users of the Clarity HMIS

  • Provide off-site training to programs located within King County

  • Provide ad hoc training to Program Managers and staff as needed

Administration & Information Management

  • Setup programs including outcomes in the database based on contracts from funders

  • Work with various users groups, tech support personnel, and management to support modifications to the database

  • Test new modules and system updates to ensure alignment with program requirements during database modifications

  • Understand the entire flow of Information throughout Homeless Services including direct service provision, data entry, internal reporting, and external reporting to funders for both billing and performance measuring

  • Maintain the CIS help request management system

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 year college degree in computer science (or related field) or 2+ years transferable experience.

  • Demonstrable skill with Microsoft Office programs

  • Experience with data entry

  • Direct experience with supporting staff in a social service agency or comparable customer support environment

  • Ability to manage confidential information

  • Excellent “people” skills

  • Commitment to working within the mission, goals, and values of Catholic Community Services

  • Criminal history background checks are required prior to employment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with an HMIS and related HUD data reporting requirement

  • IT help-desk support experience

  • Certificate in Information Systems or Computer Science discipline

  • Valid driver's license and regular access to an insured vehicle
