We're looking for motivated IT professionals with a desire to apply their innovative attitude towards improving the IT tools we use to care for our patients here at Kaiser Permanente Washington. As a member of our Epic Security and Migration Control team you'll have the opportunity to improve the quality of care for our patients by making sure that our care providers and support staff have the ability to fully use the stable and accurate medical record.
In this position you will:
• Provide technical expertise in applications systems analysis and programming • Work with business and clinical leaders • Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written or modified • Analyze data and prepare it for end user consumption.
Overview of Role:
Work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and configuration activities in Epic. Formulate and define system scope and objectives on medium to large projects. Devise or modify processes to solve problems, considering computer application structure, technical capacity and desired result. Work with business and clinical stakeholders to prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written or modified, and design, code, test, debug and document those programs. You will provide guidance and training to less experienced analysts/programmers.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a member of the Epic Security and Migration Control team, the candidate will design and implement technical solutions, manage security template, create and execute unit test plans, end user business requirements, appropriate documentation, technical specifications, and provide migration control structure and use Data Courier. This role will also support configuring and troubleshooting printers in Epic.
The candidate will participate in a rotational "on call" support.
The candidate will be expected to consult and collaborate with stakeholders to define, clarify and interpret business and/or reporting requirements for complex projects.
The ideal candidate will be able to perform their duties independently, with minimal supervision or as appropriate on integrated projects.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to complete assignments in an accurate and timely manner demonstrating their ability to establish and adhere to realistic timelines.
The right candidate is highly skilled in either setting up and maintaining Epic Security or leading build controls using specific tools (ServiceNow and Data Courier).
Experience with Epic technology. Advanced analytic, interpersonal and communication skills.
Familiar with Epic build management for Hyperspace and Chronicles applications.
Able to present for small and large audiences that may include executive leaders. Experience working for a healthcare organization.
Intermediate knowledge of specific languages and tools used in the applicable technical environment.
Understanding of computer programming languages and system design concepts; logic and analytical ability.

Experience setting up Epic Security and using Data Courier. Experience troubleshooting and setting up Epic paper and label printers .
