Minimum Experience Experienced

TerraGraphics seeks a Nuclear Safety Engineer to provide assistance to the Chief Engineer in developing the necessary updates to the engineering program, policies, and procedures to both streamline and modernize engineering administrative infrastructure.

Duties:

Develop and process revisions to existing engineering administrative procedures;

Develop and process new engineering administrative procedures;

Develop flow charts and work flow representations;

Develop functions and requirements documents;

Develop functional design criteria documents;

Develop engineering specifications (including the identification of relevant engineering codes and standards);

Develop engineering analyses, facility modification packages, and other technical reports;

Develop subcontracting documentation (e.g., statements of work);

Assist with design reviews and reviewing design deliverables produced by other vendors;

Act as the Subject Matter Expert or Design Authority for selected areas such as Welding, Procurement/Purchasing-related activities, or other areas as assigned by the Chief Engineer;

Coordinate assigned project activities with engineering Design Authorities to ensure that project deliverable(s) will meet established design and configuration baseline requirements;

Support Engineering and Project Management through attendance and participation in project meetings, project/work site job walk downs, status reports, and miscellaneous presentations/briefing materials.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, or Math;

20-years’ engineering/technical experience in complex facilities, operations, and projects;

High degree of organization and planning ability;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Prior experience building/constructing engineering and safety management programs, policies, and procedures;

Ability to work as an individual contributor or as part of a multi-function team.

Preferences:

Project Management Professional certification;

Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in the State of Washington;

Previous experience leading and managing multi-discipline engineering teams (including design authorities) to deliver results;

Previous experience reviewing complex engineering designs and providing constructive input;

Previous experience with PHMC engineering procedures and processes;

Previous experience with on-location support to Hanford site facilities and projects.
