Microsoft Corporation Scientist in Redmond, Washington

In Analog, people-not devices-are at the center of everything we do. Our tech moves beyond screens and pixels, creating a new reality aimed at bringing us closer together-whether that’s colleagues brainstorming around a giant digital whiteboard, scientists ‘meeting’ on the surface of a virtual Mars, or some yet undreamt-of possibility. To get there, we’re incorporating diverse groundbreaking technologies, from the revolutionary Holographic Processing Unit to computer vision, machine learning, human-computer interaction, and more. We’re a growing team of talented engineers and artists putting technology on a human path across all Windows devices, including Microsoft HoloLens, virtual reality, phones, tablets, desktops and Xbox.

We are looking for a scientist to join our research team. You’ll be part of a group that uses the latest engineering practices, works on cutting-edge technologies, and faces complex problems in computer vision and machine learning.

What you’ll need:

• 3+ years of research and development experience in computer vision or machine learning.

• The ability to address issues ranging from fundamental algorithm development/implementation/optimization to delivering product outcomes.

• The ability to serve as a technical leader while making significant individual contributions. (No managerial experience required)

• A PhD degree in Computer Vision, Machine Learning or related technical field.

There are plenty of other skills that aren’t required, but you’ll find useful in this role.
