Microsoft Corporation Business Planner in Redmond, Washington

The C+E Business Planning organization is looking for a talented individual to lead and drive the business forward by proactively driving strategic pilots, new business models, promotions, offers and other strategic C+E initiatives.

In this role, you will be a member of C+E Business Planning and will work across the org to identify new business models, licensing structures and other C+E pricing experiments to test in market. You will be directly responsible for identifying and proposing these pilots, as well as leading the execution, readiness, account profiling and direct deal engagement for these initiatives. You will need to gather insights while executing to ensure we gather the necessary insights and data to utilize these pilots to make broader business decisions.

Specific responsibilities will include:

•Identifying and proposing new pilot and pricing/deal experiments to execute in market

•Leading the execution of pilots, new business models, promotions and offers in the Europe and Asia markets

•Developing close relationships with local sales, compete and licensing leads to collaborate on how to drive the strategic initiatives forward

•Directly engaging on deals to learn what works and what doesn’t, so we can course correct

•Engaging with C+E business planners to provide learnings, feedback and recommendations on how to improve the offerings and make them programmatic so we can scale

•Partner with the World-Wide Licensing and Pricing Incubation Business desk organization to pilot new offerings

•Track progress and gather insights to report back to C+E leadership

•Partnering with other C+E regional leads to drive local readiness efforts for all C+E priorities

This role may include significant travel requirements as you meet with local teams throughout Europe and Asia.

•The ideal candidate will have experience working on or a good understanding of the Microsoft C+E business and services, as well as experience working with sales teams on landing deals.

•The ideal candidate will also have a good track record of working with a large group of internal partners to define and execute strategic initiatives that need to be launched out broadly.

•Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must to drive pilots and initiatives forward.

•5-10 years of industry experience in marketing, finance, business development or consulting

•BS/BA degree (required)

•MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
