Warehouse Manager Location: Rainier, WA Description Darigold is seeking a dynamic and driven Manager of Warehouse Operations. This position is responsible for managing, coordinating and overseeing all daily activities associated with Darigold's Rainier plant warehouse. Plan, organize and direct warehouse and load out personnel in all phases of the warehousing process to assure the facility operates in a highly efficient manner. A highly efficient manner is one in which utilization rates are constantly being monitored and maintained at as high of a level as possible (100% being the goal). This person is also responsible for facilitating and directing individual and team oriented continuous improvement projects. This person must be flexible, adaptable, and able to multitask and must be able to effectively work through others. This person will be responsible for setting up key performance indicators and measures whereby he/she will manage the warehouse. This person will manage as an entrepreneur always looking for ways to run leaner and improve the process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned): Develops warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes. Builds and contributes to the Supply Chain team by focusing on effective communications, process improvement, and a commitment to Darigold's Core Purpose, Vision, and Values Manages facilities management to include vendor selection, negotiation of rates and service contracts. Implements and leverages Warehouse Management systems. Insures the Warehouse meets Darigold's quality standards and the ability to pass a 3rd party (BRC) quality audit. Develops and implements procedures and processes to promote communication and adequate information flow. Directs customer service activities to coordinate issues such as misdirected and/or damaged goods. Ensures that all activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations. Develops and manages metrics philosophy that drives clear accountability and improvements. Developing standard operating practices, and training the Inventory Management team to effectively manage mock-recalls, physical inventory counts, and other standard inventory practices while maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy. Manage and understand the department's expenses to within budgeted levels. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong project management experience with demonstrated process improvement achievements. Resourceful thinker with a customer service orientation. Proven experience to influence, collaborate, and lead teams to meet shifting demands. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Education, Experience and Certifications: BA/BS degree in Business Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Related supply chain certifications desired. Minimum 5 years of experience in freight, logistics, warehouse operations, and/or other supply chain functions, preferably in a consumer products and/or food environment.
