Position Details

Summary of Duties

The primary function of this position is to provide high quality customer service and perform support duties as part of a group that services student loans, student accounts, and accounts receivable. Under general supervision, the incumbent utilizes established procedures and guidelines in the performance of assigned tasks. Duties include answering and directing telephone calls to appropriate personnel; answering routine inquiries; processing returned mail; distributing incoming mail; composing written communication; maintaining records and files; using the Point-of-Sale System to receive and disburse funds and generate receipts.

Position Qualifications

Required Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of full-time clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience.

Additional Requirements
  • Extensive customer service experience working with the public

  • Extensive experience handling cash and balancing on a daily basis

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using mainframe databases

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)

  • Previous experience working in the banking industry
