Summary of Duties
Under the limited direction of the Director of Administrative Services, the Manager is responsible for the scope, budget and schedule of the Murrow Equipment Center and overseeing the college inventory control processes.
The Manager is responsible for facilitating the use of multimedia equipment including video/audio recording equipment; identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving related technology problems; assisting students, faculty, and staff in developing policies, procedures, and specifications of student video/audio equipment. Manager will provide general equipment overview to students and time-slip employees and assist with specifications of new equipment purchases. This position oversees the unit budget and supervises student employees.
The Manager is responsible for inventory oversight, approving the receiving and tagging of new inventory items and completes the annual inventory count located on Pullman campus and state-wide locations; Prepares inventory reports to satisfy internal and external auditing agencies; Prepares purchase requests for new equipment; maintains equipment and performs minor repairs; Administers fees for lost, stolen, broken equipment and keys. Oversees the purchasing of insurance to cover College vehicles, off site buildings and equipment.
Position requires cross-function cooperation; understanding the needs of faculty and students; consistent decision-making and problem-solving; and able to focus on short-term and long-term departmental issues.
This position administers key issuance, oversees lock, phone, phone authorization codes and security issues for Murrow College, Pullman buildings (Goertzen Communication Addition, Murrow West, and Murrow East).
This position completes the yearly space inventory, oversees the facilities work requirements for all College buildings and represents the College at faculties meetings.

High school graduation or equivalent AND three years of applicable experience in the program specialty; OR equivalent education/experience.
Two years of full-time experience verifying and organizing complex files/records.(Examples include but are not limited to: complex inventory records, purchasing records, compliance logs, or similar complex record keeping)
Demonstrated experience leading successful project interactions for timely completion of diverse projects with deadlines.
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
Experience managing inventory within the WSU inventory system preferred.
Experience supervising student hourly employees.
Experience working with audio/video equipment.
