Since Bing launched in June of 2009, the search world has changed for the better. We’re helping people break free from search overload and enabling them to make decisions with Bing’s powerful, friendly tools. We’re attracting new users and changing how people think about Microsoft and Search. We have a long road ahead and we need your help! Key to our continued success in this hypercompetitive space is taking enormous volumes of data and turning them into useful, actionable information to drive increased user engagement through great Bing features and improvements. We’re talking petabytes of data about how searches succeed, how they fail, and how we can improve Bing and our partner properties like maps, commerce, travel, and more.

The Bing Experience team is working on a new social search experience. We work with leading social platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter, to bring the social graph into search space. This is an effort to re-imagine search and create differentiation among competition. You’ll have the opportunity to develop features using the cutting edge social APIs. You’ll gain deep understanding about how viral apps work with social network. You can leverage the hottest web technology to deliver compelling web user experience, experiment and iterate numerous ideas within short time period. You will learn how to be extremely stringent about performance, counting every single millisecond and bytes downloaded, how to protect users privacy, and how to enable a new dynamic and interactive experience for search. If you are a heavy social media user and are passionate about the cutting edge web programming model, this is the team for you.

We are looking for experienced front end developers to deliver the social search experience. You will own social feature end to end, design, implement and deliver to production environment in rapid pace. You need to continue enhancing the Bing stack infrastructure and framework to make future development faster and easier. You are expected to help drive integration with other components to ensure the whole scenario work end to end. You will collaborate closely with program manager and designer to define product requirements, distill product requirements into design and technical specifications, design, rapidly prototype, and implement web experience that's easy to use and fast, ensure code quality through test driven development, collect, analyze, and act on data about product performance.
